Common answers to common questions…

  • Where are you located?

I live in central Arizona, however I frequently travel to Northern California, Utah and Colorado. I am available for travel, please contact me if you are out-of-state and would like me to come visit you! (Out-of-state clients must pre-pay for sessions and packages)

  • Can I chose my own location for a session?

Yes you can! However, I will always give you my opinions and ideas about locations. Sometimes the most unlikely locations make for the best pictures.

  • How many people can I include in one session?

Typically shoots include anywhere from one to eight people. Contact me about larger groups, as we may need to create a unique package for you to ensure you get enough proofs to chose from.

  • What is a high-resolution digital file?

A high-resolution digital file allows you to print, play and package your photos however you chose! Unlike prints, when you purchase a digital file, you also get the photographic copyright permissions. That means that you are free to print your photos wherever and however many you would like! This is a great option if you want multiple prints and/or you would like to chose your own printing company. This is also a good option if you are using your photos in Christmas cards, announcements, etc. You can also use these files on blogs, Facebook, etc.

  • Can I scan in my prints and use them online?

No. Prints are subject to copyright law and may not be reproduced in anyway. If you purchase digital files, I will also include low-resolution format files which are suitable for online use only. Some of my specials and packages include free low-resolution files with specific purchases, contact me if you are just interested in low-resolution files.

  • I am interested in your design templates, but I want to use my own pictures.

Great! You can purchase a template on my Design site, and send me the pictures you would like to use in the card. You don’t have to be a Photography client to be a Design client!

  • I am a professional photographer and want to use your design templates.

Super! All of my templates are available for sale on my Design site. Make sure to purchase the ‘photographers PSD file’ these cost more, but you can use them for your clients. They CANNOT be resold as templates or PSD files. They are very customizable and allow you to change just about everything if you wish. Some include fonts, if it doesn’t include a font, I’ll let you know which font it is and where you can purchase it.

  • Where can I purchase your still life photography?

All of my still-life photography photos are available for sale on my Etsy shop, The Paper Elephant. If you would like to purchase a print, please contact me, as I only sell the digital files on Etsy.

  • I love your website! How can I get one like yours?

I use WordPress (.org, not .com) as my web development platform. If you are a teeny bit savvy, you can set up your own site by using the same theme I did which is created by ProPhotoBlogs, it’s AWESOME software that lets you customize your entire site with minimal technical knowledge. Just takes a bit to set it up initially. Get $10 off your ProPhotoBlog theme by using this code: SPER8303 . If you are interested in hiring me to set up your WordPress site and customize your theme, contact me.
